LASept. 6, 2022PRLog — The 76th annual Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival returns to East LA on September 18, 2022 featuring Grand Marshal Fernando Valenzuela.

Following a pause because of the pandemic, the longest-running and largest parade of its kind in the united kingdom returns to East LA on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 10: 00 am Simultaneously, the organizing committee, the Mexican Patriotic Civic Committee of the town of LA will celebrate 91 years of its foundation.

This year’s Grand Marshal Fernando Valenzuela can be an extraordinary athlete with a forty-year successful career in professional baseball and in charge of the fan craze “Fernandomania” in the 1980s.

Co-Grand Marshal Katya Echazarreta can be an electronics engineer and civilian astronaut who was simply born in Mexico and today she is the initial woman of Mexican descent to go to space. On June 4th, 2022, she was on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket’s fifth flight to the edge of space because of the opportunity distributed by of “Space for humanity”, a non-profit organization.

This season the festival could have two themes. The initial theme of the festival is named United for Strong Physical and Mental Health, with the intention of raising awareness locally on how best to prevent lethal infections and how exactly to support mentally unstable people, thus avoiding mass homicides.

Honoring the Heroes of the Pandemic would be the second theme of the festival, as a tribute to nurses, doctors, firefighters, medical providers, and volunteers who didn’t stop working through the pandemic due to COVID19. Through the parade they’ll wear white clothing honoring the Heroes of the Pandemic and each one of these will represent another state of Mexico. They’ll be supporting the parade attendees with drinks to mitigate heat through the parade.

  • Guillermo Alayn – Special Guest recognized worldwide as a designer who highlights the name of Mexico in his exhibitions

Mario Aguilar – Special Guest recognized to be a Latin comedian, daring sufficient reason for great charisma

Jess Ortiz Paz – Special Guest recognized to be a Mexican corrido singer and social media marketing influencer. He’s got achieved great success within the musical group “Fuerza Regida”

  • Alison Sanchez – Seorita Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas

The Live broadcast of the parade will need place from 10: 00 am – 12: 00 pm on ABC Channel 7, probably the most important television networks in the united kingdom.

The East LA Mexican Independence Day Parade & Festival is presented and made by The Patriotic Civic Mexican Committee with the support of the Mexican Consulate General in LA, the town of LA, and the County of LA.

The parade will travel along E. Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, starting at Mednik Avenue and ending at Record Avenue. The celebration will continue between E. Csar E. Chvez Avenue and First Street along Mednik Avenue where you will see music, entertainment, attractions, and fun for your family. Hopefully to see you there!

Opening Ceremony with special guest begins at 8: 00 am until 9: 45 am and the Parade will commence.

Also present at the parade will undoubtedly be LA County Supervisor Hilda Sols, the Consul General of Mexico Ambassador Marcela Celorio, USA Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, the Mayor and councilors of the town of LA.


Concerning the Mexican Civic Patriotic Committee:

The Patriotic Civic Mexican Committee is really a non-profit organization focused on the preservation of Mexican culture and traditions. Its mission would be to promote and celebrate the heritage of Mexicans in LA.

Since its creation in 1931, the Patriotic Civic Mexican Committee has been among the pillars of the LA Mexican-American community and contains made it important each year to arrange the Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival in East LA.
