It has been over weekly since LA Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald swung a helmet at a Cincinnati Bengals player in a brawl during joint practice, but he’s still answering for his actions.

While talking with reporters on Monday, Donald said he’s already shifted from the problem and is targeted on Thursday’s season opener contrary to the Buffalo Bills.

“Im happy nobody got hurt in the practices or whatever, but Im just centered on Buffalo,” he said. ” Everybody protected one another, everybody got from the situation clean, and that is what’s important.”

In accordance with Ben Baby and Sarah Barshop of ESPN, the brawl occurred on Aug. 25 close to the end of practice whenever a Rams player grabbed Bengals offensive tackle La’el Collins from behind throughout a team drill. Collins took exception and started throwing punches before a melee broke out between both teams. A video surfaced on social media marketing showing Donald swinging a helmet multiple times through the fracas.

While talking about the incident for the very first time the other day, Donald downplayed it nearly exactly the same way he did on Monday, describing it because the normal consequence of competition between two teams.

“It had been only a practice,” Donald said on The Zach Gelb Show (h/t John Breech of CBS Sports). “Obviously, people got phones out and things such as that, but I’m not likely to sit and discuss negative items that happened at a practice. My main focus is Buffalo.”

Rams head coach Sean McVay was asked throughout a preseason game contrary to the Bengals on Aug. 27 if Donald faced any discipline for his actions, and he said, “We’ve handled it internally and we’ll keep that in-house.”

It generally does not appear that the incident will minimize Donald from being on the field once the defending Super Bowl champs start the 2022 season contrary to the Bills on Thursday.
