Alex Jones Trial: Judge Denies OBTAIN Mistrial After Jones Attorney Mistakenly Sends Texts To Opposing Counsel


Alex Jones defamation damages trial brought by the parents of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims will progress, following the judge on Thursday denied a obtain a mistrial from the InfoWars hosts attorney following a revelation that the lawyer had mistakenly sent years of cellphone records to the plaintiffs counsel.

Jones lawyer Federico Andino Reynal asked Texas state court Judge Maya Guerra Gamble to declare a mistrial on the text messages, requesting the plaintiffs attorney to come back Jones records and destroy any copies of these.

Mark Bankston, the plaintiffs attorney, argued the request was Reynal utilizing a fig leaf to place over their own malpractice and absolute breach of their own duties to his client.

Gamble sided with Bankston and denied the requestand questioned multiple times whether Reynal was serious or if it had been a throwaway ask, noting that its just like the 17th time or something the attorney had requested a mistrial.

The jury is currently deliberating on which damages Jones will face for defaming the Sandy Hook parents. Gamble already issued a default judgment against Jones in October 2021, meaning the jury wont actually be deciding whether Jones is likely or not, but instead the amount of he has to cover. The plaintiffs would like damages as high as $150 million.


Bankston confirmed Thursday the home January 6 Committee has asked the attorney to show over Jones cellular phone records within its investigation, that involves Jones along with other far-right figures. The committee has previously subpoenaed Jones and showed footage of him throughout their public hearings, because the right-wing host spread misinformation through the post-election period and, lawmakers allege, helped organize the rally that preceded the January 6 attack. Gamble noted that even though she did grant Reynals request to possess Bankston return the documents to him, it likely wouldnt stop the committee from issuing a subpoena for them and getting them anyway.
