Anne Heche to BE STUDIED Off Life Support as Organ Recipients Identified

After being declared legally dead earlier this week, Anne Heche was removed life-support therefore the procedure to donate her organs could begin.

Two days after Anne Hechewas declared legally dead, the actresswas removed life support.

“Anne Heche has been peacefully removed life support,” a spokesperson forthe SixDays Seven Nights star confirmed in a statement to E! News at night on Aug 14.

Heche’sfamily’s rep previously told E! News that while she was pronounced legally dead on Aug. 12 at age 53, in accordance with California law, her heartwas still beating and was on life support to be able to allow OneLegacy Foundation plenty of time to get recipients whowould be considered a match on her behalf organswhich she wanted to donate.

Early in the day on Aug. 14, Heche’s rep told E! News in a statement thathermedical teamwas setto progress with the task to remove her organs.

“Anne Heche will undoubtedly be removed life support Sunday, organ recipients have already been identified and surgeons will be ready to remove and implant,” the statement read. “Anne will undoubtedly be removed life support and the procedure will start.”

The statement continued, “Multiple organs will undoubtedly be transplanted, no specifics on those.”

News of Heche’s passing comes one weekafter she was involved with a fiery motor vehicle accident. On Aug. 5, the Donnie Brasco star was when driving of her Mini Cooperwhen itcollided right into a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of LA. Based on the LA Fire Department, the automobile was traveling at a higher speed, so that it “burst into flames and found rest 30 feet in the two-story home.”

Three days later,Heche’s rep told E! News that the actress had slipped right into a coma and didn’t “regain consciousness since soon after the accident.”

After Heche’s passing, her ex-husband Coleman “Coley” Laffoonhas shared a heartbreaking farewell to the late actress and gave an update on the 20-year-old son, Homer.

“In the wake of Anne’s passing, I simply desire to say a couple of things. One, I loved her and I miss her, and I’m always likely to,” he said in a selfie video onInstagramon Aug. 12. “Two, Homer is OK. He’s grieving, needless to say, and it’s really rough, it is rough, as probably anyone can imagine. But he’s surrounded by his family and he’s strong and he’ll be OK.”

Along with Homer,Heche isalso a mom to 13-year-old sonAtlas, whose father is her ex-partner andMen in Trees co-starJames Tupper.
