In Memoriam: Fallen Stars of 2022
Actress Robyn Griggs has passed on at age 49.
“With much heart, I’m saddened to announce Robyn’s passing,” the Aug. 13 statement read. “However, she actually is no more suffering and would want us to keep in mind that and the nice memories.”
She continued, “I’ll remember how open she was to telling her story and accepting of me helping her tell it. She wished to help people and spread the term of her story to accomplish it. I was honored to take action.”
“RIP my pal, I really like you and smile when I believe of you,” the statement concluded.
Days ahead of her death, Griggs’ dad shared via herFacebookpage that his daughter would be put into hospice care, adding, “She’s fought with determination, strength, and grace that’s nothing lacking inspirational.”
In 2020, Griggs revealed to herFacebook followers that shewasbattling stage four endocervical adeno cancer. Just last month, she shared a health update, reporting that she had recently found four tumors, writing, “Two new tumors on my liver, one on abdominal muscle and large one on right side lymph node.”

Griggs got her begin in Hollywood as a kid star,appearing on Nickelodeon‘s Rated K,which ran from 1986 to 1988. She was perhaps best knownfor her recurring roles in the daytime dramasOne Life to call homeas Stephanie Hobart and Another WorldasMaggie Cory in the ’90s.
Additionally, Griggs appeared in severalindependent horror films, includingSevere Injuries,Dead Clowns,The Lack of Light, Hellweek andZombiegeddon.
