Apple employees who work in Santa Clara County close to the company’s California headquarters have already been called back again to any office starting in September, where they’re likely to work 3 x per week, in accordance with reports from Bloomberg and The Verge.
Apple employees will undoubtedly be asked to get into their offices on Tuesday and Thursday. Individual teams will pick yet another third day for in-person work.
The move is really a sign that Apple remains focused on in-person work. Apple’s culture has always heavily emphasized in-person meetings and demos, also it develops and sells hardware, which requires employees to be physically present.
On the summer, Apple employees have already been working from their offices two days weekly. Apple decided to go to something where employees works from any office three days weekly earlier this season before it delayed the move around in May, citing rising Covid cases.
Apple’s head of software, Craig Federighi, said September will be the “true start” of Apple’s hybrid work pilot within an email to staff, according to The Verge.
An Apple representative declined to comment.
