Rumors of a Marvel Halloween special on Disney Plus have been floating around the web for months prior to the studio announced Werewolf By Night at D23 Expo on Saturday. Before the announcement, speculation about who be in it had been running rampant. There have been even rumors that Blade would make his MCU debut in Werewolf By Night.
In accordance with a fresh report, that may no longer function as case because of scheduling conflicts.
On a recently available bout of The Weekly Planet podcast, the hosts Nick Mason and James Clement claimed that Mahershala Ali was set to stay Marvels first Special Presentation on Disney Plus. Unfortunately, he couldnt fit the shoot into his schedule.
Blade was originally set to debut in the Halloween special, but was cut because of scheduling conflicts, Clement explained. Monster hunter? Would go to a monster house? Is practical, love that. Its not happening, apparently.
A source also alleged that the special is only going to be 30 minutes long rather than one hour.
The star of Werewolf By Night, Gael Garca Bernal, reportedly hated the costume so much they couldnt film the complete script. That is fairly hard to trust, but Marvel has yet to verify a runtime. Thankfully, we wont need to wait long to discover. The special hits Disney Plus on October 7. In the event that you havent seen the trailer yet, you can view it below:
For Blade, Marvel is finally likely to start production on the movie this fall. Back at NORTH PARK Comic-Con in July, Marvel announced that Blade will hit theaters on November 3, 2023, immediately after The Marvels in the center of Phase 5.
