The Chicago Bears will soon proceed to a fresh stadium, and former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher isn’t a fan of putting a dome on the brand new site.

Brian Urlacher has turn out and said that when indeed the Chicago Bears leave Solider Field and proceed to a fresh venue, it do not have a dome.

The former Bears All-Pro linebacker and Hall of Famer recently spoke with former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler on Cutlers podcast and managed to get clear about where he stands on the stadium plans. Urlacher isn’t against a fresh stadium but instead contrary to the design.

Dont put a dome on that thing, Dont put a dome on a fresh stadium. They cant do this Who the fk really wants to maintain Chicago in February? Nobody, Urlacher said. Chicago aint getting no Super Bowl. Its too fking cold.

This the following is face-palm worthy. In the event anyone forgot, winter cities have hosted Super Bowls before, including Minnesota and Detroit, who play in exactly the same division as Chicago. Furthermore, whats so very bad about having a dome, in the first place? Last we checked, Soldier Field seats the cheapest capacity in the NFL, and its own turf has been roundly criticized almost just as much as Veterans Stadium was for the Eagles.

Also, if the Bears have a dome/retractable roof stadium, imagine the revenue that may result from it. The list continues on and on: Super Bowls, Wrestlemania, Final Fours, etc. Soldier Field could not host the big game, and also if it might, the Bears wouldn’t normally have the ability to recoup benefits because the Park District would get all of the money as a result.

Brian Urlacher spoke out against having a domed stadium for the Chicago Bears.

This kind of comment by Brian Urlacher is strictly what Chicago Bears fans who want to modernize have trouble with, including YouTuber and notable Chicago Bears fan Jeff Schlegel, referred to as Schlegdaddy.

Schlegel has repeatedly stated on his YouTube channelhow moving to Arlington Heights and creating a modern stadium with a retractable roof can generate revenue and present the Bears a brand new modern identity. Schlegel cites the need to stick to Soldier Field-like principles rather than put a dome on a fresh venue for example of what he calls #BEARSFOOTBALL.

Furthermore, it’s been reported that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has released ideas for renovations to Soldier Field, which Schlegel describes asa kind of #BEARSFOOTBALL,citing the need to stick to Soldier Field-like principles rather than put a dome on a fresh venue.

Mayor Lightfoot has received backlash on her behalf proposal, like the Bears not being ready to negotiate and preferring to create a fresh stadium elsewhere. They’re correct for doing this. The Bears must modernize rather than succumb to pressure from the exterior.

Brian Urlacher might have his view, however the Bears have to play in an improved facility than Solider Field, and with the addition of a dome, or perhaps a retractable roof, there’s so much which can be accomplished as a result, and Urlacher will be wise to benefit from the modern design of facilities instead of days gone by.
