California Tortilla Introduces Brand's First Saucemelier Andrew EnriquezPotomac, MD ( California Tortilla, a distinctive fast casual restaurant franchise that serves California style Mexican food and may fans as Cal Tort, released a demand their first-ever saucemelier (think about a sommelier, but saucier) and discovered that Andrew Enriquez of California could take heat. We were delighted to collaborate with him and obtain his feedback on our sauces, in order that we are able to offer our guests suggestions about how to improve their experiences at our restaurants.

Enriquez ate tortillas from toddlerhood and learned to consume chile peppers with bravado at a age duringcarne asadabreaks on weekends withhis dad. A veteran of the U.S. Army and several hot foodeatingchallenges, Enriquez has slathered hot sauce over tacos, rice bowls, and from buffalo wings to ice creams, even crafting several bottles himself.He could be honored to talk about his passion for fresh flavors and fire with the CalTort faithful.

Within his role as saucemelier, Andrew Enriquez recorded a number of sauce tips including HOW EXACTLY TO Beat heat, when sauces prove hotter than expected, in addition to Flavor Rules, and Sauce Hacks at California Tortilla. During his consulting gig, Enriquez sampled many of the sauces offered by California Tortilla including their signature Screamin Green, along with the Cheech Chipotle, Green Bandit, Mango Meltdown, Ring of Fire, Southwest Habanero, Tears of Sun, and much more. California Tortilla features 75 distinctive hot sauces on the Wall of Flame. Enriquez identified flavor notes in each one of the sauces he sampled and developed menu pairings for them. Featured menu items included the Bangkok Shrimp, California Screamin Burrito, Carnitas Tacos, Nachos, and the Sunset Bowl.
