Cardinals’ Kyler Murray: Independent Study Contract Clause Reaction ‘Disrespectful’

Arizona Cardinals star Kyler Murray dismissed concerns about his work ethic, a subject of discussion whenever a notable clause in his five-year, $230.5 million contract was revealed.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Murray’s deal requires him to perform four hours of “independent study” in weeks once the Cardinals have a casino game scheduled.

Rapoport added that “Murray does four hours of game studying by himself, anyway.”

I don’t sit there for 24 hours and breakdown this team and that team watching every game because, in my own head, I see so much.”
Murray is obviously talented, and his capability to improvise sets him aside from a lot of his peers. You imagine you have him pinned behind the type of scrimmage and he pulls a rabbit from the hat.
