I simply got done visiting w/Brian. He could be in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone because of their kind words, prayers & support. He wants his teammates to learn he appreciates all of them for trying and he loves all of them & will undoubtedly be back soon doing what he does best.

– Preliminary investigation suggests Robinson was the mark of an attempted armed robbery or carjacking

The incident occurred sometime before 6 p.m. today. Washington played its preseason finale Saturday in Baltimore.

Robinson is heading into his first NFL season after being selected in the 3rd round of the 2022 NFL draft. He spent his college career at Alabama, leading the team with 1,343 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

Even while the sixth running back used the draft, Robinson has been among the breakout stars in the preseason. Head coach Ron Rivera had high praise for the rookie when discussing him with reporters in training camp:

“I believe he’s a large, strong, powerful, downhill runner, way more than other things. He has a small amount of shake to him, but I believe if you consider it, Antonio is really a bit more of an elusive guy, more off the edge where with Brian, we are able to go on it inside or we are able to remove it the edge just overall.”

It helped him get playing amount of time in the preseason and he took advantage immediately, tallying 26 yards and a touchdown on six carries in Week 1 contrary to the Carolina Panthers. He added 31 yards on eight carries in Week 2 contrary to the Kansas City Chiefs.

He happened out of Saturday’s game contrary to the Baltimore Ravens along with his role in the offense seemingly secure.

Robinson’s health now becomes the primary focus following the latest news.
