Cory Sandhagen reduces bloody war with hell of a fighter Song Yadong

Last Saturday nights fight card in the UFC Apex could possibly be seen, in a particular light at the very least, to be a tale of two cuts.

In the co-main event, Gregory Rodrigues overcame a ghastly gash to score a TKO win against Chidi Njokuani. An identical situation would unfold in that which was looking just like a barnbusting main event between Cory Sandhagen and Song Yadong, but this time around the Chinese fighter wasnt permitted by the cageside medics to overcome their own cut the consequence of a scything elbow from the wonderful Sandhagen.

Yadong, though, remains one of the most exciting fighters on the bantamweight roster and likely enhanced their own reputation, especially after landing a blow in the initial which Sandhagen later admitted had him in severe danger. But that cut, also sustained in the initial, proved the Chinese fighters undoing.

I honestly didnt take into account the cut, Sandhagen announced at the post-fight presser, via MMA Fighting.

I possibly could start to see the blood entering his mouth. Hes sort of a freaky dude. Hes smiling and enjoying it, obtaining the blood in his mouth. Hes sort of among those guys. I pointed out that, but beyond that, it had been stick to the overall game plan and make certain I dont get my ass knocked out by him.

Once the fight was waved off before the start of fifth, Sandhagen appeared as disappointed as anyone in the arena but he said afterwards that the tussle has only increased his respect for Yadong.

Song is really a hell of a fighter, Sandhagen stated. I knew he would be super tough. The guy hits very difficult and he defended the takedowns effectively. I believe I was needs to figure him out because the fight was going on, therefore i was really looking towards a fifth round. I felt good, I felt fresh. I felt like my eyes were still working and my fifth round would be good, but I needed to learn that. That has been sort of a bummer.

But with another win now on his record, Sandhagen says hes searching for what or who is next, and he really wants to do this yet again prior to the end of the entire year.

Chito [Vera] or Merab [Dvalishvili] will be the obvious names, he said. Both of these pose completely different challenges. Two completely opposite fighters almost. I dont really care. Give me one of these for Christmas.
