Once the GAMBLING offensive line heard this may be a make-or-break season for Daniel Jones, it apparently took those comments literally.

Jones played sufficiently in limited work Thursday night contrary to the New England Patriots, going 6-of-10 for 69 yards.

In line with the state of his pass-blocking, though, the fourth-year quarterback may be fortunate to get to Week 8.

Doug Rush @TheDougRush

Not likely to lie, braced myself a little there while you’re watching Daniel Jones have a back shoved into his knees. Risky there.

Gregg Rosenthal @greggrosenthal

daniel jones has had 3 huge hits in a single quarter that is not ideal

TheGiantsWire @TheGiantsWire

Daniel Jones is taking entirely way too many hits.

Paul Schwartz @NYPost_Schwartz

Daniel Jones was under great pressure throughout his second series on offense.

Michael Hurley @michaelFhurley

THE BRAND NEW York Giants aren’t at all hesitant to place Daniel Jones from the train tracks.

Jones was culpable somewhat, though, since he still appears to struggle with focusing on how quickly he must make reads in the pocket.

Doug Farrar @NFL_DougFarrar

Daniel Jones will undoubtedly be picking right up that last pressure in only a few momemts.

JP Acosta @acosta32_jp

Also Daniel Jones has gotta start managing the pressure better

Marcus Mosher @Marcus_Mosher

Daniel Jones still does not have any feel for pressure, huh?

Even though preseason games mean little in the grand scheme of things, nothing from Thursday night changes anybody’s opinion of the 25-year-old.

Player Props Are Rigged @HurtSteelersFan

Daniel Jones really bout to be riding someone bench like trubisky next year. Crazy just how many qbs in the very best 15 picks days gone by like 5 years have already been awful products

dalton @cincyhatedalton

Brain Hoyer low key much better than Daniel Jones bro

the standard name @whydouhitsohard

Can most of us agree Daniel Jones won’t be good? Even Eli showed flashes. This man shows literally nothing.

The writing was on the wall once the Giants declined Jones’ fifth-year option for 2023. He’s almost assuredly not the long-term solution under center, also it will not be surprising if Tyrod Taylor replaces him at some time in the growing season ahead.
