The UH8 is Hisense’s current 2022 TV. It replaces the favorite U8G model from this past year. That is Hisense’s highest end TV that utilizes traditional LED technology. It easily competes and surpasses similarly priced models from more popular brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony. The largest upgrade from last year’s model may be the Mini-LED panel, that allows for better control of black levels and therefore an increased contrast ratio. The UH8 also features quantum dot technology (QLED), that provides higher brightness levels (around 1,500 nits) and better color reproduction. The UH8 is really a ULED TV, meaning it’s built with full-array LED backlighting with local dimming and supports wide color gamut.

The U8H has gamers covered. It includes a native 120Hz panel and two HDMI 2.1 inputs. Which means it could pass true 4K @ 120Hz on PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles and RTX 30 series equipped gaming PCs. The U8H also supports variable refresh rate (VRR), that is this TV’s version of adaptive sync technology, and also auto low latency mode (ALLM), where in fact the TV automatically switches to a lesser latency when it detects gameplay.

All of the features above make the U8H a fantastic HDR Television set as well, particularly when coupled with its Dolby Vision HDR support. That is clearly a large amount of features in a $650-$950 Television set, but again, it normally retails at several hundred dollars more.
