Dick Cheney Labels Trump A Coward In Last-Ditch Ad For Rep. Liz Cheney Days Before Election


Former Vice President Dick Cheney emerged from relative political seclusion Thursday to castigate former President Donald Trump as a “coward” and a “threat” to the united states in a fresh campaign video for his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), who faces tough odds to beat a Trump-backed challenger in her Republican primary later this month.

Dick Cheney, who served as vice president for just two terms under President George W. Bush and has a resume of Republican political roles dating back to to the Nixon Administration, said Trump attemptedto use “lies and violence to help keep himself in power” after losing the 2020 presidential election.

The former vice president praised his daughter for breaking with the GOP to oppose Trump, stating, “you’ll find nothing more important she’ll ever do than lead your time and effort to ensure Donald Trump is never again close to the Oval Office.”
