Eddie Hearn backs Jake Paul to defeat Anderson Silva

Eddie Hearn is a noted critic of Jake Pauls skills in the boxing ring, but thats not saying he doesnt have sufficient about him to defeat former UFC champion Anderson Silva.

Hearn and Paul worked together as co-promoters for the recent blockbuster boxing match between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, also it was at a press event throughout that time that Hearn told Paul to his face he didnt expect him to be particularly successful in his prizefighting career.

The Matchroom Boxing chief, though, doesnt start to see the October 29 clash with Silva to be particularly informative in regards to what Paul may or may possibly not be with the capacity of in the ring contrary to the likes of Tommy Fury or Hasim Rahman Jr two fighters that Hearn suggests is a far sterner test of his credentials.

I dont know enough about Anderson Silva. Anderson is [47], but he is able to box a little by the sound of things, Hearn thought to Ariel Helwani on an edition of The MMA Hour, via MMA Fighting.

I simply believe Jakes been a little unlucky, because he was attempting to fight Tommy Fury, he was attempting to fight Hasim Rahman Jr, and that could have actually given him the opportunity to say, Actually, you need to respect me now as a boxer.

To defeat Anderson Silva, while boxing continues to be an extremely impressive section of his repertoire, hes still not just a boxer, and hes 47 years. But hes a hardcore guy, he’s got an enormous profile, he is able to box, and I believe hell compete. I dont think he beats Jake, because I believe Jake is young, and I believe he is able to punch a little, and Im intrigued to view, and I love what Jakes doing. Its sort of him contrary to the world.

No ones attempting to do him any favours in boxing, Hearn added. Its not YouTube boxing any longer, so far as Im concerned.

All the best to Jake. I’d like to see him come through following this to really fight some boxers, because I believe he is able to beat some boxers, and his credibility would rise in the activity.
