The costs of eggs show a reliable rise mostly prompted by way of a deadly and highly infectious avian flu earlier this season. The avian flu had forced US farmers to kill an incredible number of egg-laying hens, reducing the countrys egg supply and driving up prices.

The nations worst bird flu outbreaks had led to the culling greater than 30 million commercial and wild birds with egg-laying hens and turkeys being probably the most affected. This caused the countrys egg supply to decrease while demand continues to be high, forcing prices to go up.

Furthermore, the rise in egg prices is related to supplies for eggs which range from light to moderate.
