Uncertain who is likely to win MVP this season: Marcus Mariota or Desmond Ridder?

Mike Kennedy @MikeKennedyNFL

That may have been probably the most impressive drive by way of a QB this preseason. Desmond Ridder was dealing completely down the field.

7/7 for 68 yards. Shame penalties stopped them lacking the EZ.

Allen Strk @allenstrk

Ridder is hitting his receivers in stride. That’s why is these throws a lot more impressive. You start to see the velocity and precision with one of these throws. Receivers need not make much adjustment to catch the ball and obtain YAC.

Ridder’s throwing some darts tonite, boy howdy

The Falcons already named Marcus Mariota the starter, and the Oregon product began Monday’s game and linked to Olamide Zaccheaus for a touchdown. Yet Mariota is really a familiar name with a lot of NFL experience, making Ridder more of a center point through the preseason.

Atlanta might not miss a beat if it requires him to play through the regular season if Monday’s performance was any indication.
