Giants first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux leaves game with concerning knee injury

GAMBLING rookie defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux left the teams preseason game contrary to the Cincinnati Bengals with a concerning knee injury.

The GAMBLING felt hope following a first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft, because they used their two selections on Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux and Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal. That very fanbase received quite the scare following the former left the teams preseason game contrary to the Cincinnati Bengals with a concerning injury.

In the next quarter, Thibodeaux worked his way round the offensive line to access the quarterback. However, he was met by Bengals tight end Thaddeus Moss, who made a minimal and controversial cut block to his right leg, causing his knee to bend awkwardly.

Thibodeaux lay on the field grabbing his knee and the cart was presented by the team. The rookie waved off the cart and walked to the blue medical tent on the sidelines. From there, cameras caught Thibodeaux walking and joking along with his teammates on the sideline before going to the locker room.

Soon after Thibodeaux walked to the locker room, the team ruled him out for the rest of the overall game because of the knee injury.

If Giants fans werent already breathing a sigh of relief after seeing Thibodeaux joking around on the sidelines, there’s what’s promising concerning the status of the fifth-overall pick in this years NFL Draft. In accordance with NFL Networks Tom Pelissero, there’s initial optimism that Thibodeaux avoided a significant knee injury, even though he was eliminated of the overall game quickly.

Thibodeaux was among the highly touted prospects in this years NFL Draft, where he was once regarded as the very best pick. The Giants have long-needed a dominant edge rusher, and Thibodeaux certainly suit you perfectly, especially when considering his play with the Oregon Ducks.

Since there is initial belief that Thibodeaux avoided a significant injury, the team and the fans will undoubtedly be waiting to see what further testing reveals.
