Google adds Asian-owned attribute to business profiles

Google has announced it has added a fresh attribute to Google Business Profiles for Asian-owned businesses. This new attribute could be put into your verified Google Business Profile also it makes it better to find Asian-owned businesses within their own community.

What the attribute appears like.This is what the brand new Asian-owned attribute appears like in a small business listing in Google Maps or Google Search:

How exactly to add the attribute.Listed below are the steps to include this attribute to your Google Business Profile:

  1. Head to your organization Profile.Discover ways to find your profile.
  2. SelectEdit profileand thenBusiness information.
  3. Close to the top, choose theMoretab.
  4. Choose the category you would like to change.
  5. Close to the attribute, selectYesorNo.
  6. When youre finished updating your attributes, selectSave.

Other attributes.Yelp has already established this kind of attributesince May 2021, that is another case of where Google is playing catch around Yelp. In 2018, Google introducedfamily-led(that is no more available),veteran-led,andwomen-led attributes, in 2020 Google addedblack-owned attributes, in 2021 Google added aLatino-owned attributerunning a business profiles and recently Google added the LGBTQ+ attribute running a business profiles.

Why we care.Attributes like these might help generate visibility for the profile, if you qualify for these Business Profile attributes, you need to add them to your profile and at the very least test drive it out. Businesses have to leverage any advantage they are able to to greatly help grow their revenue and their customer base.
