“I don’t believe this is exactly what we are a symbol of [as Americans],” she continued. “I believe it’s decidedly unpatriotic and un-American….He professes to become a Christian. This is simply not the Christianity and the teachings of the Bible that I understand. And I believe religious leaders all over the united states are taking a stand and denouncing exactly this.”
