Dear Talk Family,

With respect to most of us at CBS, you want to extend our deep condolences for you for the painful lack of our beloved Heather. She was an inspiration to people, living and thriving while bravely battling an unforgiving disease. She showed us what true courage appears like.

Heather has been the center and soul of The Talk from day one. Her brilliance being an innovative producer was only outmatched by her huge smile and infectious laugh. She was an admired, beloved mama bear of one’s family and a leader that looked around. Her contributions to the success of the show are immeasurable, but moreover, she was a boss that proved it is possible to lead with kindness, caring and friendship. Heather was everyones friend, everyones champion, everyones favorite person on the set. We shall miss her terribly.

We recognize and share the pain and shock you feel currently, along with the grief you’ll feel in the times ahead. As the show is starting its hiatus by August 1 (Monday), we usually do not want one to grieve and mourn alone. The set will undoubtedly be open, and HR could have staff and grief counseling obtainable in person and by phone. HR support will undoubtedly be on site aswell. We know how difficult this is for several of you and want one to all know, that people are here for you personally.
