Hot take: luggage could make or break your vacation (cue me dragging a suitcase with a broken wheel through JFK Airport circa 2017). As someone who’s experienced some lousy luggage in my own lifetime, I’ve managed to get my mission recent years to level up my options. I’m a large fan of Shay Mitchell’s brand, Beis, and Dagne Dover’s super-functional (and ultrasoft!) designs. But recently, I ran across another option I knew I had to check drive: The iFly Hardside Luggage Fibertech 20-Inch Carry-On Luggage ($89) from Walmart. Having an almost perfect five-star rating from nearly 23,000 shoppers, I needed to discover what all of the hype was about. My honest thoughts, ahead.
What I LOVE CONCERNING THIS Carry-On
My first observation? It’s lightweight. Shockingly lightweight a casino game changer for folks like me who come dangerously near those dreaded unwanted weight fees. When it arrived, I wheeled it around my apartment to obtain a feel because of its double wheels that, in the brand’s words, “ensure 360-degree navigation.” Quite simply, it rolls wonderful and can match quick turns for if you are manically rushing through the airport.
Are you aware that inside, it’s as functional as more pricey carry-ons I’ve tried. When I opened it up, I was surprised to note that the entire lining was scarlet red, which gave it a luxe feel. Also, I was quick to identify the large zip mesh compartment and a little one, in addition to tie-down straps to help keep your clothes set up. Oh, and when you find that it is *veryfull (like, to the stage where it’s difficult to shut), you may use its expansion zipper to include two inches of packing space.
The carry-on’s inner lining even zips open on both sides to generate a completely second compartment, seen below:
What’s Worth Noting
I find the 20-inch carry-on, but you can find other sizes aswell. There is a 24-inch ($99) and a 28-inch ($109), and also a two-piece set and a three-piece set if you are searching for a complete collection. It is also worth noting there are so many colors to select from. I was attracted to the lovely “Champagne” color, nonetheless it was sold-out so I chosen probably the most timeless hue of most: black.
While this carry-on comes with an overwhelming level of five-star ratings, it has its fair share of lower ones, too a lot of which say that it is susceptible to getting scratches or dents. I cannot say that I’ve experienced this at this time, and I’m not entirely convinced that I’ll since I’ll generally be bringing it on the plane instead of checking it. For those who have your eye using one of the bigger versions, this can be a key point to take into account.
