Jacksonville Jaguars executive vice president Tony Khan has already been excited about the task Doug Pederson did because the teams head coach, despite the fact that the team hasnt yet played a normal season game.
In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Khan said excitement is through the roof in Jacksonville after watching Pederson lead the team through training camp. Also it sure didnt appear to be Khan misses having Urban Meyer at the helm of the franchise.
You cant force visitors to respect someone or like someone or desire to use someone, Khan told Yahoo. I believe by the end of your day, someone must get the job done by themselves merits and the command Doug has of the complete building, respect he’s got from everybody and the original way he conducts himself went an extremely, really good way with lots of people, including all of the staff, everybody round the office and the players.
It feels completely different, in a great way, and incredibly organized and lots of that is in line with the connection with Doug and his staff and the achievements they will have in ecommerce, the playoff wins, championship games and Super Bowl rings.
Meyer was fired by the Jaguars in December after leading the team to a 2-11 record through 13 games. During his short tenure in Jacksonville, Meyer was the main topic of several scandals including an accusation that he kicked the teams kicker Josh Lambo, and another he called his assistant coaches losers.
