La Grange blotter: Storage locker on South Stone Avenue was broken into by unknown person

The next items were extracted from area police department reports and releases. An arrest will not constitute a finding of guilt.


A resident on the 100 block of South Stone Avenue reported at 11: 46 a.m. Aug. 11 that someone broke to their storage locker sometime in the past fourteen days and took several items. The financial loss is estimated at $1,000.

Deceptive practice

A resident on the 500 block of East Avenue reported at 10 a.m. Aug. 9 that someone tried to improve their direct deposit information without their knowledge or permission. No financial loss reported.

Identity theft

A resident on the 100 block of East Avenue reported at 4: 14 p.m. Aug. 11 that someone opened a Lending Club account within their name. No financial loss reported.


A resident reported that between 6 and 11 p.m. Aug. 5, their locked bicycle was extracted from the bike rack at Ogden and Locust avenues. The bikes value is $800.

An alarm was triggered at 3: 42 a.m. Aug. 12 at Cork Keg and Spirits, 1000 E. 31st Str. Officers responded and found leading door glass broken, that is the way the suspects gained entry to the business enterprise.

One offender was wearing all black with a mask and hoodie. The next suspect was hoodie with several Nike logos onto it. They left the store within an unknown direction, taking alcohol using them. Financial loss isn’t known at the moment.
