Back 2019, Louis Tomlinson dropped an individual reflecting back on what we managed to get and 3 years later, hes looking ahead rather than behind him. Today (August 31), he announced he’ll be dropping his newest studio album, Faith later on, this fall on November 11.
The former One Directioner took to Twitter to unveil the album cover and 14-song tracklist and showed appreciation to his fans. After coping with this album for some time I cant await you all to listen to it, Tomlinson said. Many thanks for allowing me to help make the music I wish to make.
The track titles provide a peek into Tomlinsons headspace through the making of the LP: Face the Music and Out of My System indicate some sort of new beginning, while some called SHE ACTUALLY IS Beauty WE HAVE BEEN TOP NOTCH and Angels Fly suggest the type of stadium grandeur we realize hes with the capacity of. So when ever, theres one which (perhaps incidental) nods to his Britpop roots Common People.
The type of music that I really like hearing is music that has big guitars inside it, but also a large chorus that you could sing along to, he told MTV News in 2020. Will his sophomore album follow suit, or does it find him experimenting in as-yet untold directions?
Faith later on happens to be open to pre-order both in vinyl and CD, and the deluxe edition carries a zine. His official store lists multiple versions of the vinyl, among which is a special limited 2LP edition that has two additional tracks: “Headline and Securing to Heartache. There may also be a special Record Store Day (April 15) limited edition vinyl featuring black & red splatter. Three versions of limited cassette tapes of the album may also be available pre-order in the store.
The album will observe Tomlinsons debut solo studio album, Walls, that was released in January 2020. It peaked at No. 9 in the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and charted No. 1 in Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, and Scotland.
