Love Island UK host Laura Whitmore quits very hard show

Laura Whitmore has pied off another season of Love Island UK.

The Irish TV presenter announced she’ll depart the mega-popular ITV reality show, a lot more than 2 yrs after she took over for former host, Caroline Flack.

Whitmore who was simply good friends with the English host assumed hosting duties in January 2020 following Flacks arrest for domestic assault in December 2019. The former host tragically died by suicide 8 weeks later.

There are particular components of the show Ive found very hard that can’t be changed some because of the format, like the flying backwards and forwards to South Africa alongside my new conflicting projects, she continued.

I wish it had been still possible but know youll maintain safe hands. I was only likely to complete for Caroline for a string and it converted into 3 series. I am hoping I did so you proud Caroline .

Whitmore alluded to the shows grueling filming schedule, which requires presenters to fly backwards and forwards from Mallorca and the U.K. throughout its eight-week run.

Her main presence through the entire latest season, where Ekin-Su Clclolu and Davide Sanclimentiwere crowned the winners, was through the in-studio Aftersun specials.

Whitmore recently concluded the filming of Season 8, where Ekin-Su Clclolu and Davide Sanclimenti were crowned because the winners.

She actually is also a radio presenter, the host of Celebrity Juice, a published author, and can soon make her West End debut in the play 2: 22 A Ghost Story.

Laura is a fantastic host over the last three group of the show, ITV said in a statement following her announcement.

Whitmore cited the shows difficult schedule as her reason to leave.

We have been so grateful for everything she’s taken to the programme but understand and respect her decision, and we anticipate dealing with her on upcoming ITV projects.

Love Island UK fans could have plenty to view next year, with a winter edition slated to occur in South Africa, accompanied by the typical usual Mallorca-set summer series.

ITV is yet to announce Whitmores replacement.
