On Monday, WRALreportedthat NEW YORK Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the highest-ranking Republican in hawaii, needed eliminating science and history classes from elementary schools.
In his memoir, “WE HAVE BEEN almost all: THE LIFE SPAN and Passions of a Patriot,” in accordance with reporter Bryan Anderson, “Robinson is dropping more hints in regards to a potential run for governor in 2024. And, if elected, he says he’d work to help keep science and history out of some elementary school classrooms. He says he’d also seek to remove hawaii Board of Education, end abortion and work to avoid transgender folks from serving in the military.”
“Robinson said he’d work to help keep history, science and a great many other subjects out of first through fifth grade curricula and instead prioritize reading, writing and math,” said the report. “‘In those grades, we won’t need to be teaching social studies,’ he writes. ‘We won’t need to be teaching science. We surely won’t need to be discussing equity and social justice.’ Robinson also reaffirms personal views on climate change that became a significant issue in the 2020 election. ‘Guess what? A lot of people of NEW YORK know global warming is junk science,’ he writes.”
Robinson, a former gun rights activist, was elected in 2020, alongside Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper, who was simply given another term.
He’s got become highly controversial for his past statements,includingthat gay folks are “devil-worshipping child molesters,” that transgender identity is really a “mass delusion” designed “to show God’s creation … right into a sickening image of rebellion to glorify Satan,” that the Parkland school shooting activists are “silly little immature media prosti-tots,” that Michelle Obama is secretly a guy, that Muslims in the us are “invaders,” and that the filmBlack Pantheris really a Jewish plot to grift money from Black people. While vehemently anti-abortion, he’s got also admitted he oncepaid his wife to possess one before these were married.
In accordance with Robinson’s book, of most his past controversial statements, the only person he regrets may be theBlack Panthercomment; Robinson says he was actually attempting to cite an obscure quote from Mel Brooks, and hadn’t meant any anti-Semitic intent behind it.
