Netflix Strikes Anime COPE WITH Nippon TV For 13 Titles

Netflix and Japans Nippon TV have decided to a fresh distribution deal which will start to see the streamer adding 13 popular anime titles to its platform.

The initial three titles to stream debut Sept. 1, you need to include Ouran SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Host Club, Claymore and the initial 38 episodes of Hunter X Hunter. Another titles included are Death Note, Death Note: Relight 1 and Death Note: Relight 2, From Me for you, From Me for you S2, Berserk, Parasyte: The Maxim, Nana, Hajime No Ippo: The Fighting! and Monster.

The non-exclusive agreement may be the latest in some deals between Netflix and Nippon TV. Previously, the streamer launched Nippons Old Enough! to stream worldwide.

Netflix has aggressively pushed in to the anime space recently, signing several content agreements with Japans biggest entertainment companies. The business claims that 1 / 2 of its estimated 222 million subscribers watched some anime on its service in 2021.

Through the AnimeJapan convention in Tokyo in April, Netflix revealed that it could launch 40 new anime titles, spanning an evergrowing selection of genres, in 2022 alone.
