It is a excellent time for fans of Disney’s Gargoyles franchise. Weeks after it had been announced the cult classic will be revived as a comic series from Dynamite Entertainment, Disney has announced it’s rolling out a fresh video game to get the franchise. Friday, the D23 Expo games showcase unveiled Gargoyles Remastered, an updated version of the SEGA Genesis game first released in 1995.
Little is well known concerning the game itself, apart from it will likely be putting new lease of life in to the remastered version no release timeframe is set as of this moment. In addition, it has yet to be unveiled if the voice actors will go back to voice their characters in the series. Whenever we spoke with Keith David this past year, the actor said a reprisal of Goliath is among the biggest check boxes on his to-do list.
“You understand, those folks who have been involved right from the start… I’ve always wondered why they stopped it to begin with,” David told us. He then floated the thought of a possible reboot, saying he’d want to return and voice Goliath. “[We’ve wondered] why we haven’t get back to a reboot,” the actor asks. “After all, I’d love only to revisit Goliath.”
“You understand, he was absolutely among my very, very, very, very favorite characters. I’ve always maintained that whenever I mature, I wish to end up like Goliath.”
Exactly the same may be the case for the comic series, apart from the primary title will likely be compiled by Greg Weisman, the scribe long credited with being truly a creator of the series.
The reveal is currently streaming on Disney+.
