O'Charley's Announces Special School Supply Drive for Victims of Eastern Kentucky FloodingNashville, TN (RestaurantNews.com) OCharleys Restaurant + Bar, the American restaurant with 144 locations across 16 states that’s home to Great Food and MEMORIES, is proud to announce a particular school supply drive for the victims of the recent flooding in Eastern Kentucky in addition to a Teacher Appreciation Week later in August.

This supply drive and Teacher Appreciation Week are portion of the OCharleys Hometown Heroes initiatives which honor the neighborhood heroes whose tireless service keep our communities safe and healthy.

We realize that heading back to school is generally a period of excitement for new beginnings and we wished to express our support for the communities in Eastern Kentucky suffering from the recent catastrophic flooding, said CEO Craig Barber. Giving back again to those in need is really a foundation of everything we do at OCharleys and you want to assist the families and the communities with always needed school supplies. I understand our valued guests can help us maximize our impact.

OCharleys will undoubtedly be collecting school supplies at participating restaurants and accepting donations online to aid the families alongside schools suffering from the flooding. The supply drive will need place through the month of August through mid-September. A Stock the OMobile event is planned in Knoxville TN after the drive is complete. OCharleys associates will drive the OMobile to Kentucky to provide the supplies.

Alongside its flood relief efforts, OCharleys can be celebrating teachers this month with a particular Teacher Appreciation Week running August 22-28. In this week, teachers will get a free of charge dessert with any entre purchase. All of the teachers should do is show a valid ID or badge. Barber continued, As children and families are heading back again to school, you want to honor the service of teachers across all of the OCharleys communities with this own Teacher Appreciation Week. Hopefully thus giving them a supplementary boost because the new school year starts.

The institution supply drive and upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week are simply two of the most recent OCharleys Hometown Heroes initiatives.
