Paradox Arc publishing initiative launches first game, Over the Obelisk

Paradox Interactive launched this week their first game from their new publishing initiative, called Paradox Arc. This new initiative, in accordance with Paradox, aims to create games from smaller developers to big audiences.

The brand new title, Over the Obelisk, is really a deckbuilding RPG produced by Dreamsite Games with co-op and rogue-lite elements. Players come up with a deck from the roster of 16 heroes, and the planet will evolve around their partys actions. The overall game has been around early access for over per year and launched on Steam this week.

Sebastian Forsstrm, head of Paradox Arc, said in a statement, Our goal with Paradox Arc would be to surprise players with games they could not need known they had a need to play. Were publishing the type of games that suddenly appear atop your Most Played list. I could say from direct experience that Over the Obelisk fits this mold perfectly, and I dont think we’re able to have asked for an improved game for the premiere. Im looking towards sharing more Paradox Arc titles with everyone soon also to inviting more developers to utilize us.

Paradox Interactive has published its fair share of games, lately Crusader Kings III (that new DLC is developing this season). Its also the publisher of the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. Its also not the only real studio which has launched a fresh publishing arm to aid indie games. Take-Two has launched Private Division for that purpose, while Digital Bros 505 Games launched Hook earlier this season.
