PFL CEO Peter Murray reveals Claressa Shields to come back in November

PFL womens lightweight Claressa Shields will go back to the cage prior to the end of the entire year.

The 27-year-old has been from the cage since her decision defeat to Abigail Montes last October. The victory set her to 1-1 in the MMA cage, as he previously previously signed to the PFL in 2020. She debuted having an impressive knockout defeat of Brittney Elkin in June 2021.

While she hasnt been mixed up in cage, the Michigan-native has been busy in the boxing world. In her time from the PFL, she scored a large decision victory over Ema Kozin in February. Shes currently set to handle longtime rival Savannah Marshall in a middleweight title unifier the following month.

Given her status as a boxing champion, theres been little talk of her time for the PFL since her defeat. However, PFL CEO Peter Murray has revealed she’ll go back to the promotion. Actually, shell be back prior to the end of the entire year.

Throughout a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, the PFL executive revealed Claressa Shields will undoubtedly be back November. The GWOAT will fight on the PFL championship card this fall if everything falls into place. Shields has previously revealed there exists a rematch clause in her showdown with Marshall the following month.
