Pitt Panthers Fill Open Roster Spot with Former WPIAL G

PITTSBURGH — An area on the Pitt Panthers men’s basketball roster became open come early july as junior college transfer Cashius McNielly declined to sign up this semester. With the beginning of official practices significantly less than fourteen days away, the Panthers have filled that open roster spot with the addition of a former local senior high school star.

In accordance with a written report from George Michalowski of Pittsburgh Sports Now, former Montour SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL guard Vason Stevenson has joined the team this week. Listed on the updated roster at 6’3 and 185 pounds, Stevenson will wear No. 21.

Stevenson knows the Petersen Events Center. He scored 23 points throughout aWPIAL 4A championship loss to Quaker Valley and blue-chip Kentucky recruit Adou Thiero earlier this winter.

The Panthers have one scholarship and roster spot stillopen.
