Police change account of motor vehicle accident that killed Rep. Walorski

Police have changed their account of the motor vehicle accident that resulted in Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski’s death (R), now saying the automobile occupied by Walorski crashed into another car after crossing hawaii highway’s centerline.

Why it matters: The Elkhart County Sheriff’s office initially said that Walorski and two of her staffers, Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts, were killed whenever a car driving the contrary direction veered into oncoming traffic in northern Indiana.

  • Potts was driving the automobile at that time.
  • The driver of another car, Edith Schmucker, was killed aswell and a study is ongoing.
  • It’s up to now unclear why cars steered by Potts veered over the centerline, the sheriff’s office said.

The picture as a whole: Walorskis death is another huge loss for the Hill community, which includes suffered the deaths of two other House members this season.
