Robyn Griggs, Another World Actress, Dies at 49

Robyn Griggs, known on her behalf roles on soap operas Another WorldandOne Life to call home, has died. She was 49.

The actress passing was announced on her behalf Facebook page Saturday. She have been battling cervical cancer and was open about her health struggles on social media marketing, with Griggs posting last month that she have been identified as having four new tumors.

Griggs debuted as Stephanie Hobart on One Life to call home in April 1991 and appeared in six episodes. In 1993, she began as Maggie Cory on Another World, a component she played for just two years.

Born on April 30, 1973, in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, she got her begin in childrens theater productions before appearing on Nickelodeons Rated K, an application that ran from 1986-88 and featured teenagers reviewing films.

After her soap roles, Griggs starred such genre films as Severe Injuries (2003), Dead Clowns (2004), The Lack of Light (2006) and Hellweek (2010).

I believe functioning on the soaps taught me so much discipline, she said throughout a 2021 interview with Call Me Adam. Personally i think it helped me recognize that I could give any role a chance, so long as I took enough time to understand that one character.

Griggs was identified as having stage 4 endocervical adeno cancer in 2020, and she had entered hospice care just days before her death, in accordance with her Facebook page. I enjoy laugh thats my method of coping, therefore i made sure to get something funny to take into account, she said in last years interview about battling cancer through the pandemic. Depression is really a terrible thing and I definitely have moments of this, but I recall Im still here.
