  1. I suspect my QotW answer would be the identical to most peoples: Nintendo is just about the one publisher I’ll willingly pay a high price as the games always appear to hold their value, and the purchase price rarely drops on physical releases. Im fact, theyre usually at their cheapest before release, maddeningly. Atlus is another where I’ll pay a high price for a physical copy (and beforehand), but Im pleased to await a sale for an electronic title.

Dont think theres any publisher where Id won’t pay a high price, so long as I needed to play that one game at that one time. But patience is normally rewarded, and theres little justification to get any game today once you know it’ll be for sale tomorrow (or eventually).

  2. QOTW: None.

I’ll typically only buy games at a high price if I plan to play with friends on day 1, easily actually want to play them immediately, or easily have to buy it for a present-day. Otherwise, I’ll wait for a cost drop or perhaps a sale. Considering my spreadsheet, I only paid a high price for games 3 x because the beginning of 2020, and another one will undoubtedly be Monster Hunter Rise with regards to PC.

Question for the crew that is on my mind for recent episodes: Can you guys keep an eye on your purchases? Are you experiencing an estimate of how much cash you may spend on games every year?

  3. So far as developers go, its really only Atlus games where Im ready to pay a high price for a physical copy. Otherwise, its more in line with the series than any particular company, particularly if its for a distinct segment title that I wish to support.
