Soap star Robyn Griggs dies at age 49

Robyn Griggs, an actor who was simply known for starring on the soap operas Another World and something Life to call home, has died. She was 49.

The news headlines of Griggs death was confirmed in astatementon her behalf Facebook page Saturday.

Hi everyone, With much heart, I’m saddened to announce Robyns passing, the statement began. However, she actually is no more suffering and would want us to keep in mind that and the nice memories.

The statement continued: I’ll remember how open she was to telling her story, and accepting of me helping her tell it. She wished to help people and spread the term of her story to accomplish it. I was honored to take action. RIP my pal, I really like you and smile when I believe of you.

Immediate memorial plans weren’t shared.

Griggs had exposed on social media marketing about her cervical cancer diagnosis. A GoFundMe page shared on her behalf Facebook page said she visited a healthcare facility for a pap smear and learned that she had stage 4 endocervical adenocarcinoma in 2020.

She documented her health struggles during the last year or two on Facebook.

In July, she posted anupdatehaving said that: I’ve 4 new tumors. 2 new tumors on my liver, one on abdominal muscle and large one on right side lymph node.

She wrote that she underwent chemotherapy, adding, I told them whatever needs doing,. Im set for the fight.

Griggs health declined, and on Thursday a note on her behalf official account said she was enteringhospice care.

She’s fought with determination, strength, and grace that’s nothing lacking inspirational, the post said. Please continue keep Robyn and her family in mind and prayers as of this difficult time.

Griggs portrayed Stephanie Hobart using one Life to call home from 1991 to 1992. She was cast on Another World after some duration later.

Her character, Maggie Cory, appeared on the NBC soap opera from 1993 to 1995.

She also landed roles in multiple films, just like the 2003 horror comedy Severe Injuries, the 2006 action flick The Lack of Light, the 2008 thriller Craig and the 2010 horror film Hellweek her final movie.
