McLaren Construction has appointed an expert M&E firm to handle mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, worth 16m, at the brand new Aston Martin Formula One headquarters in the Midlands.
E7 Building Services is really a regional division of the MEP specialist firm, Michael J Lonsdale Group, within the Midlands and the North of England.
It had been appointed to the work by McLaren Construction, that is the primary contractor on the 200m site in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.
The specialist will handle the entire MEP design and build for the brand-new facility, and can manufacture and assemble cars.
Specialist research, development installation, specialist gases, local extract ventilation systems and photovoltaic systems may also be completed by the subcontractor on the 15,000-square-foot site.
The project being delivered is a smart factory and the initial of its kind in F1 manufacturing. Which means that all the details and manufacturing processes will need place via data on the Cloud.
An E7 Building Services spokesperson said: The building services are critical to providing robust, resilient and flexible operation of the facility, supporting the ever-evolving specialist processes had a need to deliver a competitive F1 car.
Work is under way on site and you will be completed by May 2023.
