Star Trek: Khan

Star Trek is defined to go boldly where it hasn’t gone before… in to the world of scripted podcasts as Star Trek: Khan – Ceti Alpha V will tell the story of the events before Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

This new scripted podcast, that was announced through the Star Trek Day celebrations by Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan director Nicholas Meyer, will get to early 2023 and can “examine what happened in the years after Captain Kirk left Khan on the untamed world of Ceti Alpha V and tells the story of Khan and his followers” prior to the events of the next Star Trek film.

Nick made the definitive Trek movie when he made Wrath, and weve all been standing in its shadow since, said Alex Kurtzman. Forty years have offered him plenty of perspective on these extraordinary characters and just how theyve impacted generations of fans. Now hes develop something as surprising, gripping and emotional because the original, and its own a genuine honor in order to let him tell another chapter in this story the way he really wants to.

Meyer is writing the story for Star Trek: Khan – Ceti Alpha V, and Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers, Trevor Roth, and Rod Roddenberry will serve as executive producers. Furthermore, the podcast will arrive twelve months after Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’s 40th anniversary.

Alongside Star Trek: Khan – Ceti Alpha V, Star Trek Day also saw the announcement of Season 3 of Star Trek: The Pod Directive, a show that provides a “high-level discussion of the themes, ideas, and characters that resonate over the history of the franchise’s storied universe.” Season 3 of Star Trek: The Pod Directive may also get to 2023.
