The CDC Discovers 13 Additional Cases Of Recent E. Coli Outbreak Linked BACK AGAIN TO WendysNew Total OF INDIVIDUALS Sickened Now NEAR 100

Late last month panic ensued following reports an E. coli outbreak was rapidly spreading throughout Ohio and Michigan, initially sickening 30 peoplewell fast forward a couple weeks later and not just gets the number grown, but Wendys is apparently the culprit. In accordance with an updated report from the CDC, 13 additional cases of E. coli have already been identified bringing the brand new total to almost 100 and its own all being traced back again to popular junk food chain Wendys.

Unfortunately, for individuals who were hoping the recent E. coli outbreak had slowed up, they are set for some disappointing news. @HuffPost reports, the CDC recently announced it identified another 13 cases of the E. coli outbreak that began last month in Ohio and Michigan, and quickly spread to Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky and NY. During its investigation, the CDC has traced the outbreak to junk food chain Wendys, since it was determined that those that ate romaine lettuce on the companys burgers and sandwiches were sickened.

New data reveals that as NY and Kentucky have reported its first cases, four additional states have observed their E. coli infection numbers rise, as Michigan has 54 those who are sick, Ohio has 24, Indiana with 11 and Pennsylvania with two cases. This brings the brand new total to 97 individuals who have been sickened by the E. coli outbreak in the last two weeks. Of this total, 43 were hospitalized and 10 others are suffering from a lot more serious symptoms possibly associated with kidney failure. As of this moment, there were no deaths reported due to the outbreak.

Wendys previously released a statement concerning the E. coli outbreak confirming its full cooperation with the CDC. We have been fully cooperating with public health authorities on the ongoing investigation of the regional E. coli outbreak reported using midwestern states.

The business continued, adding As the CDC have not yet confirmed a particular food because the way to obtain that outbreak, we’ve taken the precaution of removing the sandwich lettuce at some restaurants for the reason that region.
