Line a big sheet pan with parchment. Cut the tomatoes about 1/2-inch thick. Gently blot the slices on both sides with paper towels and reserve them on the pan. This can help avoid sogginess.
Place the flour, cornmealand eggs in 3 separate pie plates or shallow bowls.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
As the oil is heating, dip the tomatoes first in the flour, then in the eggs, then in the cornmeal, making certain each slice is well coated.
- Employed in batches, fry the tomato slices until golden, about one to two 2 minutes per side. Transfer the fried slices back again to the pan as you complement.
Season with salt and pepperand serve hot with hot sauce, ranch dressing,spicy mayo or other things that you prefer.
