UPDATEJuly 28, 2022: The Sesame Street controversy keeps getting worse. A lot more concerning meet-and-greet footage from Sesame Place has been released because the father of a five-year-old Black girl who was simply allegedly snubbed by multiple characters filed a $25 million class-action lawsuit against SeaWorld Parks, who owns Sesame Place, for pervasive and appalling race discrimination.
In the video shared by the family’s lawyers, one character is seen shaking hands with other children round the five-year-old as she seems to shop around in confusion over being ignored.
ORIGINAL STORYJuly 20, 2022: Sesame Place Philadelphia, a style park in line with the hit children’s program Sesame Street, has issued two apologies following accusations of racism.
In a video released online, Rosita, a character from the tv program, is shown ignoring two Black girls throughout a parade on the weekend. Girls are both wearing Sesame Streetthemed backpacks: one featuring Cookie Monster and another Abby Cadabby. Girls were excited to meet up Rosita, who waved to other guests but shook its head, appearing to state no when passing girls.
The shocked adult who was simply with both girls shared the video on the Instagram account and wrote a caption describing what happened.

THIS DISGUSTING person blatantly told our children NO then proceeded to hug the tiny white girl close to us! When I visited complain about any of it, they considering me like Im crazy.
