A female and her younger brother have accused comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears in a fresh lawsuit of grooming them if they were children and coercing them into filming sexually explicit skits.
The lawsuit was filed in LA Superior Court onTuesday by siblings identified only as Jane Doe, now 22, and SOMEONE IN PARTICULAR, who was simply born in 2007. Jane, who’s John’s legal guardian, may be the plaintiff in the lawsuit both individually and on her behalf young brother’s behalf.
The lawsuit alleges that Haddish and Spears coerced the siblings if they were children to be a part of sexually explicit skits in separate incidents, that they say “stole the youth of a 7-year-old child and a 14-year-old child.”
The lawsuit was initially reported by The Daily Beast.
Attorneys for Haddish and Spears, however, have dismissed the lawsuit as a shakedown.
Andrew Brettler, a lawyer for Haddish, said the plaintiffs mother have been attempting to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for quite some time.
Calling the allegations meritless, Brettler said Haddish had previously shown she’d not be shaken down.
Now, (the accuser’s mother) has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. Each of them will together face the results of pursuing this frivolous action, the attorney said.
In another statement, Debra Opri, a lawyer for Spears, said the comedian isnt likely to fall for just about any shakedown.
The siblings knew Haddish and Spears as children because their mother shared a detailed relationship with Haddish, based on the lawsuit.
In 2013, Haddish appeared as a guest speaker at a summer camp Jane, then 14, attended, the lawsuit said.Through the visit, Haddish allegedly told Jane that she had an ideal role on her behalf.
Neither Jane nor her mother were alert to what the shoot would entail, the lawsuit alleged, adding: Only Spears and Haddish knew the storyline for the skit.”
The skit finished up involving Haddish teaching Jane how exactly to mimic fellatio, however, the lawsuit alleged.
In the incident, the lawsuit said a video had begun playing in the recording studio showing a mature man and college-age woman arguing over a sub sandwich, before eventually beginning to eat the sandwich “simultaneously from either end.” Both seemed to moan and make “sexual noises because they both ate the sandwich in a fashion that simulated the act of fellatio,” the lawsuit said.
“Physically, emotionally, and mentally uncomfortable, Plaintiff Jane Doe mimicked the acts that Haddish and Spears wanted her to take action she could go back home,” it said.
The lawsuit alleged that another year, Haddish told the siblings’ mother she had a job for younger brother, John, then 7, for a skit. “She only said it had been a sizzle reel for Nickelodeon,” the suit stated.
The plaintiffs’ mother dropped off John and Jane together in order that Jane could chaperone, however the siblings were told they would have to be “separate” for the Nickelodeon skit, the lawsuit alleged.
It said John was later stripped “right down to his underwear” for a skit titled “BY WAY OF A Pedophiles Eyes” in regards to a child being left with a guy, played by Spears, who “leers at the kid lustfully” in multiple scenes before massaging John with oil and later, engaging in a bathtub with him and forcing the kid “nearer to him in the tub.” In the ultimate scene, the kid is “portrayed as leering lustfully” at Spears, who’s wearing only shorts, before you begin to rub oil onto his body, the lawsuit said.
The video ends with what “WATCH WHO YOU LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN WITH!” appearing on the screen, the lawsuit alleged.
“After filming, Mr. Doe called his mother crying, saying he didn’t desire to film anymore,” the lawsuit said.
The lawsuit alleged that the plaintiff’s mother repeatedly asked both Spears and Haddish about “that which was filmed that made her son cry,” but Spears at one point informed her the footage was still not edited and said he’d make contact with her about providing the unedited footage. Haddish said she didn’t have a copy of the footage, the lawsuit alleged, but said it had been meant to be considered a funny skit.
Days later, Spears told mom that John have been so uncooperative that the footage was unusable and was “deleted,” the lawsuit alleged.
It had been not until around four years later, in June 2018, that mom learned that the skit featuring her son have been published online, including on the “Funny or Die” website.
“Mom, upset, stated that she’d haven’t let her son take part in a pedophile child pornography skit,” the lawsuit alleged.
“Funny Or Die found this video absolutely disgusting and could not produce such content,” a spokesperson for the platform said in a statement.
“We weren’t associated with the conceptualization, development, funding, or production of the video. It had been uploaded to the website as user-generated content and was removed in 2018 soon after becoming alert to its existence,” they said.
The lawsuit alleged that both Jane and John are suffering from social disorders, with Jane struggling to “trust anyone” because the incident and John experiencing depression and anxiety. They’re suing Haddish and Spears for damages.
