Tony Buzbee Demands NFL to Take ‘Immediate Action’ Against Saints’ Alvin Kamara

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the person allegedly assaulted by Alvin Kamara, is calling for the NFL among others to do this against the SAINTS running back.

“The attack on Mr. Greene was unprovoked and intensely violent,” Buzbee said in a statement, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “We ask the correct authorities to exact swift punishment against all parties mixed up in attack. We also encourage the NFL to take immediate action. As appropriate, we shall make Mr. Greene open to the authorities and the NFL, to the extent they would like to consult with him.”

Kamara was charged with battery leading to substantial bodily harm after his arrest in NEVADA last February. The 27-year-old was accused of pushing and punching a guy many times at a nightclub the night time prior to the Pro Bowl.

The person, Darnell Greene, hired Buzbee following the attorney gained prominence representing the plaintiffs in the civil suits against Deshaun Watson.

Watson was initially accused of sexual assault and misconduct in 24 lawsuits filed by women represented by Buzbee from March 2021. Over per year later, the Cleveland Browns quarterback was suspended six games before an appeal and settlement resulted in an 11-game suspension this year.

With an identical timeline, Kamara won’t face any discipline from the NFL before 2023 season.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported in July the problem remains under review from the league, but there is absolutely no timeline on a choice about his future. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the other day that “it looks increasingly more unlikely that it is likely to be this year,” regarding a suspension.

Florio reported Kamara was “bracing for a suspension of at the very least six weeks,” though we have no idea once the discipline should come.

Kamara’s next court date was pushed back to Sept. 29. For the time being, Buzbee will file a civil lawsuit with respect to Greene, who allegedly suffered a “severe traumatic brain injury” in the incident.
