I’m in Rome this weekend for two meetings. Had lunch with a priest friend today, and went to start to see the ancient Basilica of San Clemente today. I believe it is the oldest church in Rome, using its crypt foundation having served for a while as a first-century Roman house church.

This is a spring that fed the inside of the Roman house. It really is still seeking 2,000 years. Who have been the first Christians who lived there, and drank out of this? Their faith still flows through the planet today:

I also found an excellent gelato shop close to the Forum and had the classic pistachio-hazelnut combo. Rome, man. The Italians are so excellent at gelato and pizza that it is a wonder anybody else even tries.
