Evangelist Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of the late evangelist Billy Graham, is urging Christians to check to God because the ultimate authority regardless of the decline in morals over the nation.
Lotz, the founder of AnGeL Ministries, was a featured speaker at the Family Research Council’s Pray Vote Stand Summit initially Baptist Atlanta last Thursday.
During her speech, Lotz likened america to the country of Judah, which neglected to thank God because of its blessings and prosperity, evoking the Lord to send the prophet Isaiah to condemn individuals because of their sins and lead them back again to God.
She then recalled how she threw away something special that her late mother, Ruth Graham, gave her because she didn’t like how it had been wrapped.
“I had disposed of a priceless treasure because I didn’t just like the way it had been wrapped,” she said after revealing that the gift was a gold ring that has been portion of the pavement of Queen Esther’s palace.
“Are we at risk of focusing on the wrapping and the brown paper packages that arrive and missing the treasure that’s inside?” she asked, noting that the country is “under attack.”
“Has there ever been a period such as this where there’s a brown package turning up at every level, every angle, everywhere? It’s stunning the proceedings in this state, inside our nation, inside our world, and I expect, is likely to life,” she continued.
In accordance with The Christian Post, Lotz contended that the sins listed in the book of Isaiah remain relevant today.
“A nation that, in ways, like Judah, we’re a covenant nation focused on the glory of God by President George Washington when he was initially inaugurated, and we’ve rejected God. We’ve turned from Him,” she said.
“And we’ve had a lot more than 52 years of relative peace and prosperity, but rather of using that point to draw close to Him, to call home out our national life in gratitude for His blessings, acknowledging that blessings result from Him, we’ve turned from Him.”
Lotz stressed that the church requires a “fresh vision of Jesus,” exactly like Isaiah when he saw god, the father on the throne in Isaiah 6.
She then asked the crowd what had led them from trusting god, the father and His sovereignty.
“Are you currently personally doubting that Jesus is in charge whenever your child returns from school and says he’s got transitioned right into a different gender?” she asked. “Can you say, ‘Jesus, really? Are you currently on the throne?'”
Discussing the 2022 midterm election, Lotz also encouraged believers to keep in mind that Jesus may be the ultimate authority, no matter whoever is in office.
“Whenever we pray, we have to remember that we have been appealing to the best authority that there surely is in the universe,” she said. “Person who is in control, person who gives us His attention. And not just was He high, He was exalted.”
She ended her speech by praying for revival over the nation and in everyone’s lives.
“Please, God, it is the only answer, apart from your return,” Lotz said. “So we do pray, however, come, Lord Jesus, and it’s really in your name and in your glory that people pray, Amen.”
