“I see my whole family to be human, and I really like and accept them for several their humanness,” the singer continued. “Due to the position that we’re in, our humanness sometimes isn’t accepted, and we’re likely to act in a manner that isn’t conducive to a wholesome human life and isn’t conducive to being honest.”

Will shared an identical message in a videoposted to social media marketing onJuly 29,where he addressed fans’ questions concerning the slap and noted, “I’m human and I made a blunder.”

Will struck Chris onstage at the March award show following the comedian made a tale concerning the actor’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith‘s shaved head while presentingthe Oscar for Best Documentary Feature(the actress has publicly discussed having alopecia).

After winning the very best Actor Oscar for his lead role in King Richard later in the ceremony, Will apologized to the Academy of FILM Arts and Sciences also to his fellow nominees in his acceptance speech. Heapologized to Christhe next day within an Instagram post.Will explained in his recent video he didn’t say sorry during his speech because he was “fogged out by that time” but reiterated he was sorry for striking the comic.

“I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that returned is that he’s not prepared to talk so when he is, he’ll touch base,” the Men in Black alum added. “THEREFORE I will tell you, Chris, I am sorry for you. My behavior was unacceptable. And I’m here whenever you’re prepared to talk.”

Will, who has since resigned from the Academy and contains been banned from its events for another 10 years, also managed to get clear “there is absolutely no section of me that thinks that is the optimal solution to handle a sense of disrespect or insults” and he thought we would slap Chris by himself, noting “Jada had nothing in connection with it.”

“I am sorry, babe,” he added. “I wanna say sorry to my kids and my children for heat that I induced most of us.”

Afteronce more apologizingto his fellow nominees,specificallyQuestlove who won the Oscar Chris presented, Will addressed any fans disappointed by his actions.

“Disappointing people is my central trauma,” the Quest for Happyness star said. “I hate when I let people down. So, it hurts. It hurts me psychologically and emotionally to learn I didn’t surpass people’s image and impression of me, and the task I’m attempting to do is I’m deeply remorseful and I’m attempting to be remorseful without having to be ashamed of myself.”

And he promised he is “deeply devoted and focused on putting light and love and joy in to the world.”

For Chris’ part, he’s stayed relatively quiet concerning the incident, aside fromcreating a few references in his stand-up shows. For Jada, she’s expressed her wish for Chris and can to create amends.

“My deepest hope is these two intelligent capable men have a chance to heal, talk this out, and reconcile,” she stated on a June bout of Red Table Talk. “With hawaii of the planet today, we are in need of them bothand most of us actually need each other as part of your. Until then, Will and I are continuing to accomplish what we’ve done going back 28 years, and that is keep determining this thing called life together.”
