Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family leak suggests it is possible to tell friends

A leak of potential branding for Microsofts upcoming Xbox Game Pass family subscription suggests youll have the ability to share a subscription with friends, too. Microsoft started testing its Xbox Game Pass family plan in Ireland and Colombia earlier this month, and today Twitter leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia has spotted Game Pass Friends & Family branding.

The leak could mean Microsoft isnt considering restricting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to sharing their benefits with just immediate family. The existing preview allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to cover 21.99 monthly in Ireland (rather than the regular 12.99 monthly) for an unnamed test plan which includes sharing subscription benefits with around four others. Microsoft doesnt currently mention a family group restriction in its test plan, only that folks have to be in exactly the same country.

Microsoft currently offers Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass for $9.99 monthly. Neither includes online multiplayer capabilities, nevertheless, you can upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99, which unlocks Game Pass for console, PC, EA Play access, and online multiplayer.

This new family plan, that may now be branded Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family, includes yet Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits for four other friends or family. That includes usage of Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Live, and also the PC Game Pass versions of games.

Weve reached out to Microsoft to touch upon the branding leak, and well update you accordingly.
