In a surprising turn of events, Sega has released Yakuza series spinoffs Judgment and Lost Judgment on Steam. The former first arrived on PlayStation 4 in prior to making its solution to current generation consoles and Stadia . Judgment casts players as Takayuki Yagami, an exclusive detective investigating a serial murder case in a fictional section of Tokyo modeled following the citys famous Kabukicho district. The games 2021 sequel, Lost Judgment, occurs 3 years later and contains a darker tone and new gameplay elements.
The probability of the Judgment franchise ever making its solution to PC seemed bleak before this week. In accordance with a written report published this past year by Japans (), the series was unlikely to keep because of dispute between Sega and the talent agency representing Takuya Kimura, the actor who lent his likeness and voice to its protagonist. Kimuras agency was reportedly against a PC release, fearing it could hurt its business design. At one point, both sides were up to now apart it seemed unlikely Sega would make another Judgment game.
